Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full-Time (Sunderland)

Location: Sunderland

Pay: £90–£110 per day

Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing

We’re recruiting a Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary setting supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.

This role is centred around relationships, routine and emotional safety. Pupils are supported through small classes, clear expectations and consistent adult support.

The role includes:

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in the classroom
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support
  • Helping pupils manage emotions and behaviour
  • Supporting learning through flexible approaches
  • Building strong, trusting relationships

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
