Job summary

Norton Hill Primary School is excited to invite a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and support staff with the development and educational provision of learners across the school, ensuring high standards of pastoral care and inclusive practice.

This role is 33.5 hours per week during term time plus inset days, with shifts 8.30am–3.30pm (Fridays 8.30am–4.30pm when supporting the After School Club).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths.
• Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of lessons, both on a whole-class and individual basis.
• Prepare resources to support learning activities and ensure pupils are supported pastorally.
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
• Support pupils transitioning into wraparound care and work within the provision.
