Job summary

Aspire People is currently recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support welcoming primary schools in Leicester from September 2026, with placements across term-time schedules. You will work school hours (8:30am–3:30pm), with flexible full-time or part-time opportunities.

You’ll assist teachers, support pupil learning, and help create an inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive. Competitive rates, dedicated consultant support, and access to CPD are available to successful

Qualifications

• Previous UK primary school or nursery experience is essential.
• Positive, proactive and caring attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work school hours (8:30am-3:30pm).
• Right to work in the UK; Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary age range.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
• Prepare classroom resources and assist with daily classroom activities.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
