Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils and teachers across welcoming primary schools in Leicester from September. You will help deliver engaging lessons, reinforce learning in small groups, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment during school hours (8:30am–3:30pm).

We welcome applicants with prior UK primary school experience, excellent communication and teamwork, and a proactive, caring attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a UK primary school or nursery (essential).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work school hours (8:30am-3:30pm).
• The right to work in the UK; DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary age range.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
• Prepare classroom resources and assist with daily classroom activities.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
