Job: Primary School Teaching Assistant
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: 100 to 135 per day
Start: April 22nd, 2025
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
The School and Role

Empowering Learning is working closely with a group of Primary schools in West Yorkshire which cater to a wide range of pupils and age groups. The Primary schools have varying needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) needs. To succeed in this role, you will need some of the following:

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Ability to relate well to children and adults and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to deal effectively with students presenting challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques as appropriate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Knowledge and experience of behaviour management and restorative strategies
  • Experience and comfort working with children
  • Having a driving licence is desirable for this role
