Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a qualified Primary School Teacher for High Peak and surrounding areas. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, differentiate for diverse learners, and monitor pupil progress within a supportive school environment.

The role offers flexible arrangements (full-time, part-time, or supply) and opportunities for ongoing CPD, with a dedicated consultant to support your placement and development.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent qualification is essential.
• Experience teaching in primary schools (KS1/KS2).
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Clear communication with pupils, staff and parents.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to obtain a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the National Curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching to meet diverse pupil needs (SEND/EAL).
• Monitor and record pupil progress; use data to inform planning.
• Provide timely feedback to pupils and contribute to progress meetings.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom and manage behaviour effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with parents.
