Job Purpose:

To teach all subjects of the national curriculum and extracurricular activities, fulfilling professional duties in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the principal.

Responsibilities:

• Teach pupils of all abilities, including those with additional needs, by planning lessons to achieve progression.
• Identify clear objectives, set challenging tasks, and differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Develop provision maps and lead annual EHCP reviews.
• Work with gifted pupils and recognize talent through innovative teaching.
• Maintain structured lessons that motivate and challenge students.
• Use assessment effectively to ensure coverage and understanding of the curriculum.
• Maintain discipline and encourage good practice in punctuality, behavior, and standards of work.
• Employ a variety of teaching methods and resources, including IT skills.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development, including pupils with additional needs.
• Collaborate with mentors and support staff to enhance learning outcomes.
• Plan and deliver lessons based on the UK curriculum and participate in statutory and online CPD training.

Monitoring and Assessment:

• Assess and record pupils' progress, set targets, and prepare reports for parents.
• Participate in school events and contribute to the school development plan.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Contribute to curriculum development and school-wide initiatives.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by school leadership.
