Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting Primary Teaching Assistants for regular supply roles in Ilkeston and the surrounding DE7 region. Join a friendly team providing support to pupils, with potential for long-term placements and progression within welcoming primary schools.

You will support class teachers, assist with small groups, tailor support to learning needs, and help develop pupil confidence and independence while adhering to safeguarding procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant experience supporting children in a primary school setting.
• A patient, caring and encouraging manner.
• Ability to tailor support to individual learning needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive attitude with the willingness to take initiative.
• Dependable work ethic and flexible approach.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil well-being.
• An Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
