Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a part-time PPA teacher (0.8) to cover across Key Stage 1 and 2 in Burnley. The role starts in October 2026 and involves delivering lessons from a detailed plan across foundation subjects, including maths, English, Art, Geography, History and RE.

You will join an experienced, supportive team with a strong emphasis on effective behaviour management and positive relationships. QTS is required; a DBS check will be undertaken as part of safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
• Experience delivering across KS1 and KS2 preferred.
• Strong behaviour management and positive attitude required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons across KS1/KS2 as per plan.
• Cover PPA four days a week at a 0.8 load.
• Teach across foundation subjects: maths, English, Art, Geography, History, RE.

A ‘Good’ Primary School located in Burnley are seeking to appoint a part- time (0.8) PPA teacher to work across key stages 1 and 2. As a PPA teacher in our school, you will join an experienced and supportive team and work from a detailed plan to deliver lessons across the foundation subjects including maths, English, including Art, Geography, History, and R.E. We are keeno consider educators from M1 - M6, but a broad knowledge of the curriculum is essential, as is a positive working attitude and ability to establish strong working relationships. Although the behaviour at this school is considered to be generally good, it is of paramount importance to the senior leadership team that the employed practitioner is confident and capable of implementing effective behaviour management strategies and capable of working in line with their well supported policies.
