Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Thornton, Lancashire, is recruiting a passionate PPA Cover Teacher for a friendly primary school. This part-time role covers Planning, Preparation and Assessment across the school.

The successful candidate will deliver lessons across year groups, maintain high teaching standards, and work collaboratively with staff to ensure continuity for pupils. A QTS is required, with strong classroom management and communication skills.

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a passionate and adaptable PPA Cover Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Thornton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher seeking a part-time role, working 3 days per week, covering Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time across the school.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across a range of year groups, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while ensuring consistency and continuity for pupils.

As a PPA Cover Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Assess pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
