Academics are seeking two Intervention Teaching Assistants for a warm, supportive primary school in Walton-on-Thames. The roles cover KS1 & KS2, full-time, long-term until July 2027, with starts around September or October 2026. Daily rate is 92–100 GBP, with parking and ongoing training opportunities.

The successful candidates will support inclusion, run 1:1 and small-group interventions, and work with pupils including those with SEN to raise attainment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
• Experience with SEN and group/1:1 interventions.
• Available for September/October 2026 start.
• Willing to commit long-term to July 2027.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils.
• Deliver intervention sessions across Speech & Language, Maths, Reading and Writing.
• Support the inclusion team and class teachers in and out of the classroom.

This fantastic primary school in Walton-on-Thames are wanting to hear from experienced teaching assistants who have worked with both children with SEN as well as raising attainment both in and out the classroom.

In this primary school Intervention Teaching Assistant role, you will provide support to the inclusion team and class teachers both in and out of the classroom. You will lead interventions to a caseload of pupils both on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Interventions would include Speech & Language carry over sessions, Maths, Reading, Writing, Pre Teaching Key Skills, Vocabulary and Social/ Motor skills.

There are two roles available, one in KS1 and the other in KS2.

Ideally you will have prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.

Ideally you will have experience working with children with SEN or as a general teaching assistant completing group and 1:1 interventions in and out of the class.

This school are open to graduates as well wanting broaden your skillset working with children to start a career in education.

The primary school itself is located in the centre of Walton-on-Thames with excellent transport links and parking available. The building is modern and bright with fantastic facilities to enable fun and successful learning.
