Job summary

This is a full-time Attendance & Welfare Officer role based at a primary school in Enfield (EN1). You will manage pupil attendance, welfare, and first aid responsibilities within the school office.

Qualifications

• Experience in school administration, attendance or welfare.
• Experience managing pupil attendance and/or welfare.
• Current First Aid Certificate essential.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with pupil data.
• Knowledge of SIMS or similar MIS.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Able to handle confidential information.
• Calm, caring manner with pupils and families.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day attendance administration.
• Monitor attendance and follow up unexplained or persistent absence.
• Communicate with parents about attendance and welfare concerns.
• Maintain pupil welfare and safeguarding-related records.
• Act as the first port of call for pupil first aid.
• Record first aid incidents and inform parents where appropriate.
• Liaise with staff on pupil needs.
• Support general school office administration.
