Job summary

TeacherActive are seeking a Primary Phonics LSA to work in a South Gloucestershire school on a day-to-day basis with an immediate start. The successful candidate will support KS1 pupils with phonics, reading and literacy, while providing tailored SEND support and collaborating closely with the class teacher to help children access their learning.

You will have experience as an LSA in a primary setting and be confident, patient and nurturing with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering or supporting phonics interventions within KS1.
• Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting.
• A good understanding of supporting reading and literacy development.
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour

TeacherActive are looking to take on an Primary Phonics LSA on a day-to-day basis with an immediate start. The successful LSA will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1, supporting phonics, reading and literacy while also providing tailored support to pupils with SEND, working closely with the class teacher to help children access their learning and make progress.

The successful LSA will have:

• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant / LSA in a primary setting
• Experience delivering or supporting phonics interventions within KS1
• Experience supporting children with SEND
• A good understanding of supporting reading and literacy development
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
