Job summary

TeacherActive are seeking a Primary Phonics LSA for an immediate start in a South Gloucestershire school. You will assist with phonics interventions, reading and literacy development, and tailored SEND support to KS1 pupils.

This role involves working closely with the class teacher to enable access to learning and progress throughout the day. The position is day-to-day and paid PAYE, with competitive hourly rates and ongoing CPD opportunities through the My-Progression channel.

• Experience delivering phonics interventions in KS1
• Experience supporting children with SEND in primary school
• Strong reading and literacy development support skills
• Patient, nurturing and communicative teamwork abilities

Are you a confident and nurturing LSA who can help pupils develop their reading, literacy and independence?

TeacherActive are looking to take on an Primary Phonics LSA on a day-to-day basis with an immediate start. The successful LSA will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1, supporting phonics, reading and literacy while also providing tailored support to pupils with SEND, working closely with the class teacher to help children access their learning and make progress.

The successful LSA will have:

• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant / LSA in a primary setting
• Experience delivering or supporting phonics interventions within KS1
• Experience supporting children with SEND
• A good understanding of supporting reading and literacy development
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
