Job summary

Avara Foods is recruiting Night Hygiene Operatives for its Hereford site in Herefordshire. You will join a team, with full training and no prior experience required, and earn from £13.67 per hour plus shift premium of £1.61.

The role offers guaranteed hours, overtime opportunities, and benefits like free on-site parking and a subsidised staff canteen. You’ll help meet targets while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards across the production areas.

Qualifications

• Good level of English and basic numeracy.
• The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.

• Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but training will be provided.

• Co-operate in the continuous improvement of quality, safety and productivity standards.
• Manual handling of plant and equipment.
• Isolation of plant and machinery.
• To meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team.
• Compliance with food safety and HSE guidelines.
• To carry out instructions as given to you by your Team Leader/Management.

A little about our Hereford site: The Hereford plant is our largest site and processes chicken products across two factory facilities, Grandstand Road and Yazor Road. Grandstand handles processing, whole bird production and portioning, with Yazor responsible for portioning and added value. Across the whole site approximately 1,500 people are employed and it processes 1.9m birds per week.
