Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a supportive Primary Learning and Numeracy Tutor to work with learners across Wigan, delivering tailored 1:1 maths tuition to strengthen foundational skills.

The role involves supporting number skills, arithmetic and reasoning, reinforcing core learning by age and ability, and planning interventions where gaps are identified. This is a part-time ongoing opportunity for a tutor who makes learning engaging.

Qualifications

• QTS, PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working with primary-aged pupils.
• Knowledge of the primary Maths curriculum.
• Experience supporting pupils who need extra help.
• Creative, patient and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tuition for primary learners.
• Support development of number skills, arithmetic and mathematical reasoning.
