Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Primary Maths Catch-Up Tutor to work in Wrexham. The role involves delivering short, focused maths catch-up sessions to primary pupils, with 5–15 hours per week and a start in October 2026.

You will help pupils consolidate foundational concepts and build confidence in maths. The position emphasizes personalised tutoring, number fluency, fractions, and problem solving, with ongoing assessment and targeted support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged pupils.
• Patience and ability to make mathematical concepts accessible.
• Ability to differentiate teaching to meet different learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised Maths catch-up sessions to primary-aged pupils.
• Support number fluency, calculations, times tables, fractions and problem-solving.
• Identify areas requiring further development and adapt sessions to targets.
• Use engaging activities and differentiated resources to reinforce concepts.
• Monitor progress and adjust sessions to individual needs.
