Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in Flixton is hiring a hands-on Primary Manager to own the Primary department within a large-scale poultry operation. You will lead a team of around 40-50 colleagues, ensure safety, quality and production targets are met on a day-to-day basis.

The role is ideal for an experienced Team Leader or Line Leader ready to step into management, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and work closely with other departments to maintain smooth production.

Qualifications

• Experience in poultry or food manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.
• Must be confident leading people, managing a department and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced Team Leaders or Line Leaders ready to step up to manage a larger team and department.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day responsibility for the Primary department and its performance.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of around 40-50 colleagues.
• Oversee the operation of the department, ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.
• Manage people effectively, providing direction, support and coaching to the team.
• Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Ensure all processes are in line with food safety, health & safety and company standards.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient production operation.
• Help drive continuous improvement across the operation.

Primary Manager

Working Hours: 16:00-00:10

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced and hands‑on Primary Manager to join our Flixton site and take ownership of our Primary department.

This is a key role within a large‑scale poultry manufacturing operation, a Primary team of approximately 40-50 people . The site processes around 1 million chickens each week , producing a range of whole bird and portioned products, including grilled and flavoured poultry.

As the most senior person within the Primary department, you’ll play a crucial role in making sure the department runs safely, efficiently and effectively on a day‑to‑day basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Team Leader, Shift Team Leader, Line Leader or Supervisor who is ready to take the next step into management and have real ownership of a department.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Take day‑to‑day responsibility for the Primary department and its performance.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of around 40-50 colleagues.
