Job summary

Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk is seeking a Shift Manager to lead and motivate a team of Supervisors, Team Leaders and Operatives to meet production KPIs. You will drive safety, quality and hygiene standards and optimise output, yield and labour utilisation.

Develop, coach and support staff with HR collaboration, maintain strong communication and uphold our high industry standards. Strong leadership, 1+ year FMCG experience, and ability to implement continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience in FMCG.
• Strong IT skills and ability to use production systems.
• Proven ability to lead a team and make decisions.
• Experience with safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Experience in risk assessments and safe working procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Supervisors, Team Leaders and Operatives to meet production KPIs.
• Ensure all activities remain compliant with safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Optimise production efficiencies, including output, yield, labour and packaging usage.
• Develop, coach and motivate the team with HR collaboration.
• Maintain strong communication and industrial relations to improve effectiveness.

Job description

We are looking for a shift Manager to join our established Production team at Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk. You will be responsible for leading and motivating your team comprised of Supervisors, Team Leaders and Operatives to ensure production KPIs are met., Be responsible for all activities within the respective area. Always Operate to the highest attainable safety standards. Ensure all products meet or exceed the agreed customer specification and quality standards. Ensure Units technical and hygiene standards match best in industry. Optimise production efficiencies, namely output, quality, yield, labour, reducing absenteeism, labour turnover and holiday planning utilisation, packaging usage and utilities. Ensure good communication and employee engagement in order to help maintain good industrial relations and improve the overall effectiveness of the business. Develop, train, coach and motivate the Team leaders and Operatives, in conjunction with the HR Department. Animal Welfare to uphold the Company Policy Report to the Operations Manager immediately any occurrence that could affect the finances or security of the Company or put its name into disrepute
Experience within a similar role and/or FMCG environment.

• Strong IT skills.
• Minimum of 1 year's management experience
• Level 2 Food safety and hygiene IOSH managing safely training
• Food Manufacturing NVQ level 2/3
• Level 3 H&S awareness.
• Reviewing of relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures
• Ability to lead a team
