Job summary

Talent Education is recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Bury, Greater Manchester, to start September 2026. You will work closely with the class teacher, support pupils individually and in small groups, and help deliver inclusive lessons in a supportive school community.

Experience in UK primary settings and a Level 2 TA qualification are preferred; SEND experience is desirable. You will promote safeguarding, build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff,

Qualifications

• Level 2 TA qualification or relevant classroom experience.
• Experience supporting children in a UK primary school.
• Knowledge of SEND is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Work with individuals and small groups to support learning.
• Provide additional support for children with SEND where needed.
• Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Prepare learning materials and keep the classroom organised.
• Observe pupil progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Supervise pupils during breaks and trips when required.
• Promote safeguarding and a safe learning environment.
