Job summary

George Mitchell School is seeking a Learning Support/Teaching Assistant to support pupils in the Primary phase (KS1/KS2). The role is term-time only, 32.5 hours per week across 46.01 weeks, with opportunities to contribute to phonics groups and targeted learning support.

You will work with students with additional learning and support needs, promoting inclusive practice, high standards, and personal and academic growth within a vibrant, community-focused school.

Qualifications

• Good level of spoken English is required.
• Experience in KS1 and/or KS2 is required.
• Experience of supporting students with additional needs (SEND).
• GCSE English and Maths are required.
• Experience teaching and managing phonics groups is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students with additional learning needs in KS1/KS2.
• Assist with phonics groups and targeted literacy/numeracy support.
• Promote inclusive classroom learning and positive behaviour.
