Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Primary Intervention Support Assistant to work in welcoming Primary Schools across Washington, starting in September. Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a related education degree.
• Experience delivering interventions in a Primary School setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum, especially English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive and nurturing approach to supporting children's learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions in Reading, Writing and Maths across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups to close learning gaps and boost attainment.
• Work with class teachers to implement intervention programmes and individual learning plans.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Adapt resources and learning activities to meet the needs of individual learners.
• Support pupils' confidence, engagement and independence in the classroom.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
