Connex Education Partnership seeks an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to cover planned lessons when teachers are absent and to support learning across Key Stage 1 and 2 in Taunton.

Roles include leading small groups, one-to-one support, and helping to create a positive classroom environment. Opportunities range from daily supply to short- and long-term placements starting November 2026.

Qualifications

• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3)
• HLTA status or willingness to work towards HLTA status
• GCSE English and Maths (C/4 or above) or equivalent
• DBS update service or willingness to obtain one

Responsabilités

• Deliver planned lessons in the teacher’s absence
• Lead small group interventions and provide exit/one-to-one support
• Help create a positive and engaging learning environment for pupils
• Support across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 as required
