Job summary

New Directions Education is recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) for primary schools across Chester and the surrounding areas. Roles include delivering pre-planned lessons, supporting planning, and leading various learning activities.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-planned lessons and covering classes when required.
• Supporting teachers with planning and preparation.
• Leading whole-class, small-group and 1:1 learning activities.
• Supporting students with a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Delivering interventions to reinforce learning and development.
• Managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive engagement.
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment; working collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff.
