Job summary

ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Epsom seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from an immediate start. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support across the school while also covering classes when required, ensuring continuity of learning in a well-structured environment.

The role requires HLTA qualification or equivalent experience, with prior primary school experience and the ability to lead whole-class

Qualifications

• Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (essential).
• Have experience working within a primary school setting.
• Be confident leading whole-class learning when required.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Maintain high expectations for pupil progress and behaviour.
• Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the primary phase.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups.
• Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and personal development.
