Job summary

ANZUK Education is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Esher, Surrey, to join a welcoming primary school from an immediate start. The role is full-time and may involve covering classes to ensure continuity of learning in a well-structured environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent, have experience in a primary setting, and be confident leading whole-class learning while safeguarding pupils.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (essential).
• Experience in a primary school setting.
• Ability to lead whole-class learning when required.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the primary phase.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Provide targeted support to individuals and groups.
• Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and engagement.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development.
