Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Cambridge is seeking enthusiastic Primary Cover Supervisors to work across a range of friendly primary schools in Cambridge and surrounding areas. You will deliver lessons on absence, maintain an engaging classroom, and support pupils to participate and learn.

This role offers flexible assignments, weekly PAYE pay, and opportunities to gain experience across EYFS to KS2 in multiple schools, with ongoing consultant support and CPD access.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with children in a school, sport coaching, youth work or similar setting.
• Is confident leading groups of children and maintaining positive classroom behaviour.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Is reliable, adaptable and enjoys working in different school environments.
• Has a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for supporting children's education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lessons in the absences of the class teacher.
• Maintain a calm, engaging, and productive classroom environment.
• Support pupils with their learning and encourage participation throughout the day.
• Follow each school's policies and procedures, including behaviour management.
• Adapt confidently to different year groups and classroom settings across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Provide clear feedback to teaching staff following each placement.

Salary: £95 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Temporary, Long-Term & Short-Term Opportunities
