Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council seeks a self-motivated Cook in Charge at Ysgol Cambrian to lead the school kitchen. This part-time, term-time role is 25 hours per week, typically 9am–2pm, Monday to Friday, with a Grade 5 hourly rate of £14.36.
You will prepare, cook and serve meals, supervise kitchen staff, and uphold Food Safety and Health & Safety standards, alongside safeguarding duties as part of the Council’s commitment to healthy, inclusive meals for pupils.

Catering Services are looking for a self–motivated and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Cook in Charge at Ysgol Cambrian.
Working hours will be approximately 5 hours a day, usually between 9am and 2pm, Monday to Friday.
Have experience of cooking for large volumes of customer. Demonstrate good communication skills, and a positive ‘action focused’ attitude. Will be enthusiastic with a logical and organised approach to planning, and the ability to function effectively under pressure. Foster a positive safety culture, and customer focused environment.
In addition to this safeguarding responsibility, the successful applicant for this role will also be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
