Job summary

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council's Catering Services are seeking a General Kitchen Assistant Grade 2 for Ysgol Cambrian. This part-time role is 13.75 hours per week during term time, with duties including food preparation, serving, washing up and cleaning in a busy school kitchen.

Hours run from 9:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday. Applicants should be dedicated, reliable and possess knowledge of food safety practices; Level 2 Food Safety certification is required or willingness to obtain it.

About the role

Catering Services are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to support Ysgol Cambrian. Duties will include different elements of food preparation and food serving, as well as washing up and cleaning in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The service operates term time only, Monday to Friday with working hours ranging between 9 a.m. & 2.00 pm.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must have the following attributes:

• You must be dedicated and reliable
• Possess good Communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to follow instructions

All successful applicants must have a food safety Certificate - Level 2 or a willingness to work towards gaining the qualification.
