Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a Primary Classroom Supervisor to work in a welcoming primary school in North Tyneside (NE12), starting after October half term on a long-term basis. This role offers the chance to support pupils with pre-planned lessons and help maintain a positive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with children, strong communication and behaviour management skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Confident, proactive and able to use their initiative.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Passionate about helping children learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Supervising primary-aged pupils across the classroom, ensuring a safe, positive and engaging learning environment.
• Supporting pupils to complete pre-planned lessons and classroom activities.
• Managing classroom behaviour and encouraging positive attitudes towards learning.
• Providing support to pupils who may need additional guidance with their work.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider school team.
• Helping maintain a structured and productive classroom throughout the school day.
