Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment currently supports a friendly primary school in Kettering seeking a Class Teacher to start September 2026. The role offers either full-time or part-time morning-only options, with permanent placement preferred but long-term supply also considered.

The successful candidate will plan lessons, differentiate learning, monitor progress, and contribute to school life with CPD opportunities and collaborative teamwork. MPS/UPS salary applies, pro rata for part-time.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
• A nurturing, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
• A commitment to raising pupil attainment and supporting the development of the whole child.
• A collaborative and positive approach to working with pupils, colleagues, and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can succeed.
• Support pupils' academic progress alongside their social and emotional development.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils across a range of abilities.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing effective feedback to support development.
• Promote positive behaviour, independence, confidence, and resilience.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities, trips, and events.
