Job summary

Dryland Medical Centre is seeking a qualified nurse to join its treatment room team in a primary care setting. The role involves delivering routine nursing care, vaccinations, phlebotomy, wound care, health checks and ECGs, with input into policy and ongoing clinical safety.

The post requires NMC registration (RGN) and experience in a primary care treatment room. Training may be provided for the right candidate, with opportunities for professional development within a supportive

Qualifications

• NMC registration as a general nurse (RGN).
• Experience in a primary care treatment room environment.
• Strong communication with patients and multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing care in line with protocols and guidelines.
• Give vaccinations and immunisations; manage stock.
• Perform phlebotomy and venepuncture for adults and children.
• Administer prescribed therapies such as injections.
• Provide wound care and suture removal.
• Conduct health checks, ECGs, Doppler ultrasound and urinalysis.
• Assist GPs with minor surgery and order pathology tests as needed.
• Identify and support patients at risk of long-term conditions; promote health.
