Job summary

Spectrum Community Health is seeking a Primary Care Nurse for the Health and Justice division, based at HMP Liverpool. The role covers wound care, immunisations and national screening, with shift patterns and full-time hours.

You must hold NMC Registration as a Level 1 nurse in Adult, General or Mental Health, and be prepared to work in a dynamic prison health environment delivering autonomous clinical care and triage.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Level 1 with NMC registration.
• Experience in primary care nursing in complex environments.
• Ability to work in a prison health setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary care clinics including wound care, immunisations and national screening programmes.
• Assess and triage patients and route them to urgent care pathways.
• Carry out early days in custody health assessments for new arrivals.
• Make autonomous clinical judgements during triage.
