Job summary

Fir Tree Medical Centre is seeking a qualified Practice Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care within a busy primary care team. You will support GPs, conduct chronic disease reviews, perform venepuncture, administer vaccinations, and manage immunisations for adults and children.

Qualifications

• Membership of the RCN is required.
• Registration with the NMC is mandatory.
• At least two years’ experience in practice nursing.
• Experience with chronic disease reviews, immunisations and routine clinic duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in and perform routine patient care tasks as directed by GPs.
• Undertake Chronic Disease Reviews: Asthma, COPD, CHD, Diabetes, Hypertension, New Patient Medicals.
• Perform venepuncture and monitor blood pressure.
• Administer vaccines and arrange immunisations for adults and children.
• Chaperone patients and document consultations per NMC guidelines.
• Maintain and stock nursing rooms and equipment; follow safety protocols.
