Job description

This Primary Care Nurse post sits in the Primary Care team at HMP Lewes, a category B men's prison, and is run by Practice Plus Group's Health in Justice service. The work centres on a nurse-led service that aims to prevent hospital admissions, covering medication rounds, controlled drug dispensing, emergency response, patient assessment and clinics. It is a full-time role on a rolling rota that includes occasional nights and alternate weekends. Applicants need a registered adult nurse qualification, and job offers depend on additional vetting and security checks.

What the job involves

• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions


• Carry out medication rounds and dispense controlled medication
