Job summary

Withnell Health Centre is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support the clinical team in a semi-rural practice serving around 3,000 patients. The role focuses on phlebotomy clinics and NHS Health Checks, with measurements of blood pressure, height, weight and BMI, plus new patient assessments.

The post is part-time, 12 hours over three days. Applicants should have at least 1 year as a HCA and hold a phlebotomy qualification, with a compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year as a HCA or Health Care Support Worker.
• Phlebotomy qualification is required.
• Good standard of general education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver phlebotomy clinics.
• Carry out NHS Health Checks.
• Take blood pressure readings.
• Measure height, weight and BMI.
• Carry out new patient health assessments.
• Record clinical observations accurately.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Support the wider clinical team in delivering high quality care to patients.
