Job summary

Locum Ready in Manchester is seeking a proactive Locum HCA to support a GP practice. You will assist the clinical team with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity in a busy primary care setting.

This role offers ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions with morning and afternoon slots, designed for long-term block bookings. You will need good communication, IT skills for clinical documentation and be prepared for potential phlebotomy and ECG duties.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable performing clinical observations.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
