Job summary

GSL Education in Sheffield is seeking a Behaviour Support (Primary) to join a welcoming school from September 2026. The role involves delivering tailored behavioural and pastoral support to pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, helping them manage emotions and stay engaged in learning.

You will work closely with class teachers and support staff to foster positive relationships and a calm classroom environment. The contract is long-term and can be full-time or part-time, with weekly pay of £460–£600,

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, calm and consistent approach to behaviour support.
• Team-based approach and commitment to pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group behaviour support for primary pupils.
• Work with class teachers to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
• Support emotional regulation and social development.
• Encourage positive interactions during classroom activities and breaktimes.
• Help create a safe, structured and welcoming learning environment.
• Share observations with teaching staff and monitor pupil progress.
