Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a Behaviour Support for a primary school in Sheffield S5. Role involves supporting pupils with behaviour, delivering 1-2-1 and small group interventions, and helping create a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and appropriate social interactions.
  • Promote a safe, calm and well-organised learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and share relevant observations with teaching staff.

Job Title: Behaviour Support (Primary)
Location: Sheffield S5
Salary: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time
Start Date: September 2026

Are you passionate about helping primary‑aged children develop positive behaviour and confidence in the classroom? A welcoming primary school in Sheffield S5 is seeking a caring and committed Behaviour Support professional to join their team.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Support, you will work closely with class teachers and support staff to help pupils manage their behaviour, engage positively with learning and build confidence throughout the school day. You will provide one‑to‑one and small group support, encourage age‑appropriate social skills and help create a calm, structured classroom environment where children can flourish.

To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Support, you should:
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up‑to‑date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
