Job summary

Meon Vale, a primary school run by Tudor Grange Primary Academy, is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs, particularly autism, and to deliver an individualised EHCP-based curriculum under the class teacher's direction.

The role is Monday to Friday, 31.25 hours a week over 39 weeks per year. The successful candidate will work within a safeguarding-focused team, maintain confidentiality, and be ready to start as soon as possible; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Support teaching staff in delivering a quality curriculum aligned with the school vision.
• Deliver an individualised EHCP-based curriculum under the direction of the class teacher.
• Adapt activities to each pupil’s interests.
• Maintain safeguarding, child protection and confidentiality per academy policies.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching staff in delivering a quality curriculum in line with the school's vision and ethos
• Support pupils with additional needs through a nurturing approach that builds belonging and independence over time
• Deliver an individualised curriculum to meet EHCP requirements under the direction of the class teacher
• Adapt activities to take account of each pupil's interests
• Work autonomously, following all academy policies, particularly safeguarding, child protection and confidentiality
