Role Description

Allianz Personal is seeking a Pricing Manager to join our Retail Team. This role requires a true expert responsible for delivering the financial targets of our Motor products.

Based in our London office on a hybrid basis, you will work closely with the wider Pricing team to shape the future of Pricing by integrating models into customer rating and managing insurance risk effectively.

The role is within the Retail Pricing Portfolio team and involves managing a team of analysts, as well as collaborating across various teams within AZP and Allianz Group.

You will participate in the Global P&C Academy, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management, while exchanging best practices across Allianz Group. Allianz Insurance also offers a generous study package to support actuarial qualifications through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.

Our team values continuous learning, with access to platforms like DataCamp, Databricks Academy, and LinkedIn Learning. We also host Lunch and Learn sessions, Data Science Forums, and analyst forums to refine your technical skills.

About You

Your daily responsibilities will vary, but here are some key aspects:

• Deputising for the Head of Pricing and contributing to the product underwriting strategy.
• Defining and delivering pricing analysis projects to improve underwriting performance and support GWP targets through competitive positioning.
• Contributing to product development by identifying innovative underwriting segmentation improvements.
• Establishing a rate relativity review process to optimize risk segment profitability.
• Reviewing product and scheme profitability and providing pricing input into budget planning and scheme evaluation.

Essential Skills

• Solid expertise in pricing portfolios with a track record of introducing innovation.
• Experience in pricing and achieving financial targets using Risk Premium models, with commercial awareness of the Motor market.
• Exposure to Machine Learning models in an insurance context.
• Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience with Motor insurance is preferred, but candidates from Home or other Motor backgrounds will be considered.
