Our Pricers and Underwriters are the best of the best, reducing risk and predicting future events to ensure our business grows while providing the best prices to consumers.

Join us as a Pricing Manager in our Motor Manufacturing Tribe. This role will be part of the Portfolio Analysis Team, working collaboratively with Motor Risk, Retail Pricing, Underwriting, Trading, and Finance teams.

What You'll Be Doing

Your Job Responsibilities May Include

• Analyzing large datasets using SQL, Python, and Radar.
• Maintaining model scoring processes to provide the latest profitability measures.
• Managing profitability analysis across our product range, including Direct Line, Churchill, and Privilege, to inform strategic decisions.
• Developing and owning Portfolio Analysis exhibits: rate tracking, profitability, Actual vs Expected, model stability, and uncertainty metrics.
• Contributing to financial planning, reinsurance analysis, and strategic pricing tasks.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Managing 1-2 analysts daily.

You will report to a Band 5 Pricing Practitioner and work alongside experienced colleagues with diverse industry experience.

Our hybrid working model combines office and remote work, with colleagues spending at least 2 days a week in the office.

What You'll Need

• Experience in general insurance pricing, preferably in personal lines.
• Strong problem-solving skills, considering multiple scenarios and customer needs.
• Familiarity with SQL, Radar, and Python.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• People management experience is preferred but not essential.
• A numerate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
