Job summary

Kevin Theobald Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Airfreight Pricing Executive to develop competitive rates and profitable quotations for import, export and cross-trades. You will collaborate with Sales, Operations and Commercial teams, along with airlines and agents, to deliver pricing solutions that meet customer needs and company objectives.

The role emphasizes strong numerical skills, negotiation ability and independence within a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in airfreight pricing, freight forwarding, shipping or a similar logistics-related commercial role.
• Understanding of airfreight import/export processes, airline tariffs and cost structures.
• Experience preparing airfreight quotations and analysing end-to-end shipment costs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, competitive and profitable airfreight quotations for import, export and cross-trades shipments.
• Work with Sales, Operations and Commercial teams, airlines, overseas agents and service providers to develop pricing solutions.
• Manage day-to-day pricing enquiries, support tenders and contract negotiations, monitor market rates and ensure timely quotations.

Job description

We are seeking a commercially minded and detail-oriented Airfreight Pricing Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing competitive airfreight rates, preparing customer quotations, negotiating with airlines and suppliers, and supporting the growth and profitability of our airfreight business

Key Skills:

• Previous experience in airfreight pricing, freight forwarding, shipping or a similar logistics-related commercial role.
• A good understanding of airfreight import and export processes, airline tariffs, routing and freight cost structures.
• Experience preparing airfreight quotations and analysing end-to-end shipment costs.
• Knowledge of airline surcharges, fuel charges, security fees, handling charges and other applicable airfreight costs.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of gross profit, mark-ups and margin management.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to manage multiple pricing requests, prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
• A proactive and customer-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Mon to Fri all office based, located near to Farnborough Salary £30-40K

As Airfreight Pricing Executive, you will be responsible for preparing accurate,competitive and profitable airfreight quotations for import, export and cross-tradeshipments. You will work closely with the Sales, Operations and Commercial teams, as well as airlines, overseas agents and other service providers, to develop pricingsolutions that meet customer requirements while achieving the company's commercial objectives.You will manage day-to-day pricing enquiries, support customer tenders and contract negotiations, monitor market rates and ensure that all quotations are issued accuratelyand within agreed deadlines.The ideal candidate will have experience in airfreight pricing or freight forwarding, strong numerical and analytical skills, and a good understanding of airline tariffs, freight costs and profit margin management.
