Job summary

Hastings Direct, a digital insurance provider, is seeking a Pricing Automation Engineer to join our hybrid team across Leicester, Bexhill and London. You will work at the intersection of data, technology and commercial decision making to support pricing, trading and automation outcomes.

You will develop and optimise recasting capability for high-speed scoring and large-scale impact analysis, and build automation pipelines with Python, SQL and Git.

Responsibilities

• Work at the intersection of data, technology and commercial decision making to support pricing, trading and automation outcomes.
• Develop and optimise recasting capability for high-speed scoring and large-scale impact analysis.
• Build, test and refine automation pipelines and validate outputs with pricing, modelling and analytics teams.
• Develop and operationalise data pipelines, pricing logic and model features using Python, with SQL and Git.
• Onboard new users and troubleshoot issues with existing users.
• Monitor performance and automation stability across workstreams and improve speed and scalability.
• Produce documentation and tutorials for users of recasting tooling.
