Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking a Pricing Automation Engineer to join our Hybrid team in the UK. You will work at the intersection of data, technology and commercial decision making to support pricing, trading and automation outcomes.

You will develop high-speed scoring capabilities, build automation pipelines, and operationalise data pipelines and pricing features using Python, SQL and Git. The role involves collaboration with pricing, modelling and analytics teams and onboarding new users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise recasting capability for high-speed scoring and large-scale analysis.
• Build, test and refine automation pipelines; validate outputs with pricing, modelling and analytics teams.
• Develop and operationalise data pipelines, pricing logic and model features using Python, SQL and Git.
• Onboard new users and debug existing users with pricing tooling.
• Monitor performance and stability across workstreams; identify speed and scalability improvements.
• Produce documentation and tutorials for users of recasting tooling.
