Pacific Life Re is seeking an innovative actuary to join the Divisional Pricing team in a role reporting into the VP Pricing. You will work across global markets with experts and data sources to challenge pricing assumptions and advance pricing methodologies.

The role emphasizes independence in a dynamic team, with opportunities to deepen statistical methods and programming skills using Tableau, SQL and R. A strong pricing mindset and collaboration across regions are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with strong pricing background.
• Ability to work independently in a small, flexible team.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Keen to develop understanding of statistical methods.
• Interest in programming and familiarity with Tableau, SQL and R.

Responsibilities

• Review front line pricing on large and non-standard quotes.
• Conduct deep dives to validate assumptions and methodologies.
• Monitor and report pricing metrics at product family and division level.
• Contribute to division-wide pricing methodologies and reference library.
• Collaborate with global colleagues to advance pricing capabilities.
• Learn and apply various pricing methodologies across regions.
