Job summary

ALPLA is seeking a proactive Shift Engineer to join our UK engineering team in Aston Clinton. You will maximise uptime of blow moulding machinery and related production equipment through planned preventive maintenance and continuous improvement. The role requires ensuring safe, compliant operation and thorough record-keeping.

You will repair machines during breakdowns, work independently or in a team, and adapt to heights or confined spaces as needed while supporting quality and safety policies.

Qualifications

Understanding mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

Ensure equipment operates efficiently and maintains continuous production.
Carry out repairs on machines during breakdowns or as preventive maintenance.
Complete maintenance logs and paperwork per company procedures.
Follow quality, hygiene and safety policies.
Perform other duties as required by supervision.
