Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking experienced Social Workers to join the Adults, Ageing & Wellbeing Directorate across the County. The post targets professionals with post-qualification experience or those who have completed the ASYE programme, delivering high-quality support for vulnerable adults and their families.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, balance autonomy with supervision, and work under Advanced Social Work Practitioners and a Team Manager.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, qualified Social Workers with a commitment to continuous development.
• Experience with post-qualification practice or ASYE completion.
• Understanding of the Care Act and Local Authority statutory duties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments.
• Manage your own caseload with regular supervision and guidance from Advanced Social Work Practitioners and your Team Manager.
