Cyngor Caerdydd/Cardiff Council is seeking dedicated Prevention Officers to assist clients facing homelessness or who are under threat of becoming homeless. This role involves case management, coordination with specialist support providers, and representing the Housing Services at weekly MARAC meetings.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent teamwork skills and experience with homeless legislation, providing high-quality customer service. This temporary position runs until 31st March 2027 and may require working until 19:00 hours.
Dedicated Prevention Officers based at Rise will provide assistance under the Council's corporate duty to help clients who are homeless or under threat of becoming homeless. The service provides assistance to often vulnerable people when they are at greatest need.
The post holder will need to have; team-working skills, the ability to produce innovative solutions and be forward-thinking to help develop the service. The post holder will be required to provide excellent outcomes for vulnerable clients and high-quality customer service.
Experience of homeless legislation and working with the public will be an advantage. You may be required to work until 19:00 hours to meet the demands of a very busy service.
