Job summary

Cambridgeshire Constabulary is seeking a Police staff Prevent officer to support the PREVENT strand of CONTEST by linking counter‑terrorism policing, neighbourhood policing and communities. You will manage a caseload and take action to identify and safeguard individuals vulnerable to radicalisation.

The role covers collaboration with partners and includes training delivery and engagement to improve Prevent referrals, with opportunities to deploy in CT policing-led activities.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence.
• Competence in intelligence and police responsibilities.
• Awareness of IT Security Policy, Computer Misuse Act 1990, Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988, Police and Criminal Evidence Act, Data Protection Act 1998, Health and Safety at Work Act 1992 and Official Secrets Act 1989.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Prevent case management and manage threat, risk and susceptibility.
• Act as case officer for referrals allocated to Prevent and gather information with partners.
• Support individuals and Institutions through Channel process and safeguarding.
• Identify and maintain relationships with key community individuals to promote Prevent.
